Cameron House Hotel Wedding Trailer – Howard and Susan

“Literally from the first half an hour… I knew I was going to marry this girl…”

And he did.

Howard and Susan’s Wedding was a fun filled day with lots of laughter and tears of joy. Lovely speeches straight from the heart, nerves, excitement, anticipation and all the precision and detail that comes from a Military wedding.

We had tons of fun capturing their wedding day, so many little personal touches….

We’ll just let this trailer show you a glimpse of what happened…

Enjoy.

Steve

29 Royal Exchange Square Wedding in Glasgow – Michelle and Craig

Things to tell yourself in the future? “Always carry talc!?”

OK, a private joke there. Ask Michelle:)

There were LOTS of jokes, and laughs. Michelle and Craig made sure of that.

I know I probably say it a lot, but family and friends. That was the crux of this wedding, bringing everyone together from across the UK to celebrate and have a ball.

I always try to make each film individual and I really do think this film gives you a peek into what Michelle and Craig are all about, but most of all to show how much fun they have being together. They are truly made for each other:)

Enjoy!

Oh and 29 RES is a fab place to work, great location and run with so much care and attention. Bravo David.

David Smith - Love this!! Such a brilliant couple to work with and from a venue coordinator perspective – Its amazing you capture all this without ever being “in the way” or making it all about you – brilliant! I would echo Craigs remarks above – if you are thinking about booking a videographer I wouldnt hesitate to go with Cherry Tree!

October 17, 2012 - 8:23 am

Craig Watson - Craig Watson – Hi Steve, Yvonne and not forgetting Stuart. I know Michelle has already said thank you but I just wanted to say my own special thank you to you all for our film. We must have watched the full version about 20 times already and I know we will never get tired of seeing it.

Steve your passion and standard of work is amazing and to anyone who is watching these 4-5 minute trailers thinking should we book these guys, stop thinking about it and book them fast because the full version of the film is incredible! The 2 best decisions we made with regard to getting married were firstly deciding to getting married and secondly having you guys film it – thank you.

October 16, 2012 - 11:19 am

Michelle Watson - Hahahaaaa burst out laughing when I read that hehe. I know i’ve said it before but I will say it again. Thank you for this special, wonderful film that Craig and I will treasure forever. I showed a friend today who wasn’t at the wedding, and her comment was “Wow, that is just truly priceless” and I couldn’t agree more… x x

VOWS Awards 2012 – Scottish Wedding Awards – Best Videographer Nominee

What can we say?

I think WOW, and AWESOME and also CHUFFED TO FLIPPIN’ BITS spring to mind!

We are utterly delighted to announce that we’ve been nominated in the shortlist for the Scottish VOWS Awards 2012.  This prestigious award is so special to us as it’s voted for by our couples!  It’s just brilliant think that our couples not only love the films that we make, but that they also rate our customer service as something truly exceptional.

This is the 7th year now that we’ve been nominated, and indeed we have been hugely privileged to have also won the award in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2011.

So, thanks to the VOWS Awards peeps for organising such an amazing celebration of Scottish Wedding talent, and of course to our simply brilliant couples for voting for us!  It really does mean the world to us!

THANK YOU!!

Leanne & Stuart’s Norton House Wedding Trailer

This wedding day was so chilled and relaxed, and filled with lovely little details that Leanne & Stuart had worked so hard at, all to make the day special for their close family and friends.

They were so excited by the idea of the wedding film and have been brilliant in the build up to (and on) the day itself.  Oh and a huge thanks to Stuart’s Dad for allowing me to even stand near the record player (some serious kit there) for the opening ring shot:)

We had a great day working alongside the wonderful Niels & Alie from Blue Sky Photography, always a total hoot:)

So, without delay… Leanne & Stuart’s Wedding Trailer….

Richard & Chilli’s Dundas Castle Wedding Trailer

Richard & Chilli wanted to have fun!  Their wedding plans were to bring family and friends from Hong Kong, Scotland and all over the world together in one place and have a really good party.

Boy did they succeed!

As this wedding was an intimate affair I was flying solo (with a little help from Yvonne), so it certainly kept me on my toes in making sure I captured the ambience of the day.  Pretty sure I nailed it though  :)

Richard’s Best man Ameet gave a brilliantly emotional speech, and coupled with a perfectly balanced Humanist ceremony (lovely emotion and hilariousness) their wedding was a blast!

It’s going to be great fun putting the final film together in the coming months, but for now enjoy this short teaser of what’s to come!

Enjoy!

Cameron House Wedding Film Trailer – Jacqueline and Stuart

Happy Friday!

I’m delighted to share another of our lovely little trailers, and this one if from Jacqueline & Stuart’s recent wedding at Cameron House Hotel on the stunning (and indeed very bonny) banks of Loch Lomond.

The Irish-Scottish mix meant that we knew the day would absolutely be a ton of fun, but the emotion and love in that room was just amazing.  Stuart’s Dad’s reading of Robert Burns “A Red, Red Rose” was so full of emotion that it was a shoe-in for the trailer.  Stuart’s speech was also pretty special but Jacqueline’s speech was just perfect storytelling… and I’m keeping that back for the full film and highlights! It’s going to be a very exciting edit!

So here we go, enjoy this short trailer and have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Holly & Andrew – St Andrews Old Course Wedding Trailer

Holly and Andrew. Their wedding story. In just 150 seconds.

It’s hard to tell a story in just 150 seconds, but then again when the speeches are just so eloquent and heartfelt it’s a joy to do!

Their wedding ceremony was held at St Salvators in St Andrews, followed by a recpetion at The Old Course Hotel.  Holly & Andrew were just so comfortable on camera, hopefully a testament of how relaxed our style is, but another important factor was that they also allowed loads of time for a photo/film shoot around St Andrews (after all, Andrew proposed to Holly on the harbour pier so that was a must location!).

Also it was good to work with Ivan & Emma at Claremont Photography, giving each other time and space to work was brilliant.

Given the time Holly & Andrew allocated in their day for the things that really mattered, plus being a couple so much in love with each other, it’s easy to come up with something special.

I hope you agree.

Happy Wedding Days at Drumtochty Castle

As this page is being prepared I’m prepping up for a wedding ‘today’ at Drumtochty Castle and it just reminded me of the last time I was there back in August last year. I always planned to share Mark & Lesley’s fabulous wedding film, but somehow (the Christmas rush!) I managed to never get round to it….

Memory fully jogged, here it is!

I’ll let the highlights film tell the story, but suffice to say it was a cracking day, with the most awesome of couples! 😀

Anne & Gareth’s Wedding Trailer – Balbirnie House Hotel

On this wet and dreich Monday morning, I thought it would be nice to remember the summer sunshine.  This trailer from Anne & Gareth’s Wedding is only from a few weeks ago, but they had the most gorgeous sunny day at Balbirnie House and the stunning Kemback Parish Church near Cupar.

Robbie and I had a great time, Anne & Gareth were just so good to work with and were so into the whole film idea, I can’t wait to get into the edit of the main wedding film!

For now though, enjoy the trailer….

Vrooooom!

It’s all about the cars!

Well, that’s not actually true.  The cars were a huge part of this rather amazing wedding day, but it was actually all about family, friends and Tony & Niamh’s amazing love for each other.

Their story is all about cars, and their shared passion for motor racing.

I’m finishing off their final edit this week, so will speak more about their story at a later date, but here’s a little snippet of the wedding by way of their Trailer (completed the week after the wedding).

When it’s done, hang around for the final snippet of the most hilarious Best Man’s speech/song that I think I’ve ever heard.  Truly inspired.

Happy Friday!

Bienvenue en Ecosse Rémy

Well actually it’s very nearly time to say “Au Revoir”….:(

Rémy is our son’s French Exchange student over from Pessac, Bordeaux.  He’s a great kid and has worked really hard at improving his English over the past week.  It’s been great fun having him with us and I think his most used phrases right now are “Hurry up Callum” and “Wheesht Callum”:)

As it was a beautiful sunny evening last night, we all had a walk up to the top of Blackford Hill, just to take some snaps for his folks back home.  So thought I’d share a few here.

It’s been a great experience and one that has taught us a lot too (especially improving Yvonne’s Higher French!).  Some really great laughs over the past week.

You’ve been a star Rémy, and we do hope we’ll see you again soon!

À bientôt!

Steve, Yvonne & Callum

Adam & Charlotte’s Balbirnie House Wedding Trailer

Fun is the keyword here.

Adam and Charlotte love each other to bits that’s clear, but crikey they also know how to have fun. And lots of it.

There was just so much entertainment on their wedding day and I’ve only managed to squeeze a tiny bit of it into this trailer, ready to share with you today.

There’s actually a great phrase that seems to be perfect for these guys….”Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much”.

A nice upbeat end to the week!  Enjoy.

Nicola & Stuart’s Wedding Trailer – Broxmouth Park, East Lothian Wedding Film

Nicola had a vision for her wedding. Her vision was amazing.

Working closely with the utterly brilliant Gemma at Planet Flowers, the vision came together and I think the sheer amount of creativity and attention to detail was astonishing. I can’t wait to share more in the future when the full edit comes along but for now you’ll just have to make do with a few quick shots to tease you.

First time at Broxmouth Park and it’s a superb venue, thoroughly enjoyed the day and thanks to Simon for being such a great host.

Photographers were Dom and Rob from Duke Photography, once again good fun working with those guys.

So onto the trailer….

There were so many lovely funny lines from Stuart’s speech that I could have included (and will in the final edit) that would have changed the whole feel of this highlights, but I just wanted to concentrate on his thoughts about Nicola. His delivery was honest, emotional and just wonderful to work with.

My fave line is still “I fell for her hook, line and sinker the first time I met her…I think myself lucky every day that she liked me back”.  Well done, great speech Stuart!

I do think this trailer gives a great insight into this fabulous wedding, the emotions, the personalities and that amazing vision that I mentioned (just wait for the final shot to see what I mean). I do hope you enjoy it.

Nicola & Stuart, thanks for inviting us to tell your story… I can’t wait!

CherryTreeAdmin - Thanks guys, we had a blast too! Omitting the word ‘rustic’? Opps, so sorry… I “twined” to get it in but just couldn’t find the right place :) Can’t wait to get to the full edit 😀

May 25, 2012 - 4:39 pm

Nicola & Stuart Hetherington - Steve and Stuart (a.k.a. DVD 2 (so cruel Steve!)) – what can we say but AMAZING work!! We absolutely love the trailer – tears all round – and can’t wait to see the full version.

Thank you for being a part of our wedding – we both thoroughly enoyed your company but were also impressed and surprised at how unobtrusive and enjoyable the whole filming experience was – even when Stuart (a.k.a. Groom – not DVD 2) was prancing around in his boxers!!

Superb team and superb work. Only one negative comment Steve…..you didn’t incorporate the word ‘rustic’ into your blog!!!

Lots of love

Mr & Mrs Hetherington xxx

Neil & Lydia’s Wedding Highlights – Dundas Castle Scotland

As I’ve been a bit slow with blog posts over the past few weeks I thought it would be good to blog a couple of my favourites from last year, film clips that I’ve kept back.

So the first is from the wonderful wedding of Lydia & Neil at Dundas Castle (I blogged the trailer some time ago).

Robbie and I had a fabulous day, we laughed and laughed and laughed (as did everyone else!). There was so much energy and fun, but also a ton of emotion and Neil’s speech was just sublime, a total charmer. Above all, these two wonderful people are totally and utterly head over heels in love.

So… fun, laughter and love… a perfect combination.

Without further ado, I present to you….Lydia & Neil’s Wedding Highlights Film.

Enjoy.
